GOFAR vouchers are designed to assist lower-income pet owners with spaying and neutering. Vouchers are sent directly to veterinarians participating in our voucher program. Each voucher is numbered and marked either male ($25 value) or female ($40 value). We have set aside funds to reimburse the veterinarian for the value of the vouchers as they are used for spaying and neutering. Each voucher may be applied to only one pet. It is up to each participating veterinarian to decide which pet owners would most benefit from the vouchers; such as, the low-income, the disabled, the elderly, farmers, someone feeding and fixing stray cats, etc. To determine if you can make use of a GOFAR Voucher, please call your regular veterinarian and inquire if they participate in the voucher program and if you can use one. Some veterinarians are also willing to keep waiting lists in the event they are currently out of vouchers. In the event they are out of vouchers, they need only call GOFAR to request more. If you do not have a regular veterinarian, the following is a list of participating veterinarians: Joan Puritz, DVM Crescent Pet Lodge & Veterinary Hospital 697 Winney Hill Road Oneonta, NY 13820 607-432-8570 Community Veterinary Center 4109 Route 7 Oneonta, NY 13820 607-432-0050 Heritage Veterinary Clinic Route 28 Cooperstown, NY 607-547-8488 |
